About This Role

The Customer Solutions Trainer combines technical knowledge with sales expertise to support and enhance the growth of Kidde Commercial partners. This role is also responsible for designing and delivering training programs on various technical topics to help individuals and teams enhance their skills. Key responsibilities and qualifications associated with this role include:

Key Responsibilities

  • On-boarding Support: Provide consultation and training to new customers, addressing product-related queries and issues.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of products.
  • Customer Training: Train customers in the use of Kidde Commercial products and adjacent product lines, ensuring they understand how to maximize their benefits.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in developing proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work with product development and product management/marketing to ensure products support customer needs based on VOC meetings.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the sales process.
  • Develop Training Programs: Design and develop technical training programs tailored to organizational needs.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars on technical subjects.
  • Create Training Materials: Prepare course materials, presentations, and instructional aids.
  • Assess Training Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer feedback and guidance to trainees to help them improve their technical skills.
  • Manage Training Resources: Ensure training equipment and resources are available and in good working order.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with the latest technological trends and advancements.
  • Communication: Maintain detailed communication of customer interactions, technical issues and resolutions with the regional sales teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ year experience in the Life Safety industry and strong knowledge of Fire Systems.
  • Extensive travel is required for effective customer and team support, approximately 75%.
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong understanding of fire systems and the technical aspects of the Kidde Commercial family of products and in-depth knowledge of the subjects being taught.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills supported by previous experience and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly. Strong presentation skills with the ability to train on various industry related topics technical know-how.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to tailor training programs to meet the needs of different audiences
  • Strong team-oriented, foster teamwork with improved ideas and resolution to problems. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other departments. Participate in internal sales meetings to report on partner-facing activities
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills and knowledge of CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce) Strong computer skills essential – thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to effectively work remotely and in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation And Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $114,644- $134,875. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
