Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with safety standards and actively promote a positive safety culture across the organization.

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Review and submit quarterly tax returns and assist with financial audits as needed.

• Maintain and renew periodic state license registrations.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial analysis.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed financial reporting and insights.

• Utilize Sage and Excel to manage project-based accounting activities effectively.

• Collaborate with operational leadership to align financial processes with project goals.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant financial experience, including in a supervisory role.

• Background in construction or project-based accounting is strongly preferred.

• Advanced proficiency with Excel and Sage accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• CPA designation (U.S. Certified Public Accountant or Canadian Certified Professional Accountant) preferred.

• Ability to work extended hours during month-end closings, audits, and budget planning periods.
