Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with safety standards and actively promote a positive safety culture across the organization.
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Review and submit quarterly tax returns and assist with financial audits as needed.
Maintain and renew periodic state license registrations.
Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed financial reporting and insights.
Utilize Sage and Excel to manage project-based accounting activities effectively.
Collaborate with operational leadership to align financial processes with project goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant financial experience, including in a supervisory role.
Background in construction or project-based accounting is strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Sage accounting software.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
CPA designation (U.S. Certified Public Accountant or Canadian Certified Professional Accountant) preferred.
Ability to work extended hours during month-end closings, audits, and budget planning periods.
