Estimator

Our Client is looking for an Estimator for a large Home Builder in North Florida. The Estimator will work with the Design Center staff to price all custom options in a timely manner not to exceed a 24 hour turn around on more involved options. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities:

- New home plan costing/bidding out, estimating and subsequent building plans in the company-s adopted software system.
- Support and provide oversight and management as assigned regarding the company-s home start packages and processes.
- Assist in the Management of subcontractor and suppliers.
- Assist the company's on-site Sales Associates and/or Design Center staff with option pricing requests.
- Maintain and build estimates and job cost in the company-s adopted software Systems.
- Use PlanSwift for takeoff information so that the master plans as well as the lot specific plans can be built in the company-s software system.
- Prepare monthly gross profit reports to review with the Purchasing Manage

Required Skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Experience, Licenses or Certifications required)
- Construction Management Degree Proffered
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient working knowledge of PlanSwift estimating Software.
- Minimum 5 years experience in residential construction purchasing.
- Strong aptitude for homebuilder software
- Able to perform complete takeoffs from blueprint.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Able to multi-task
- Able to work unsupervised with little or no direction
- Performs purchasing and job cost duties in an office environment.
