Exciting Per Diem Position for Physician: Wellness Exam Focus
Job Location: Pell City, AL.
Job Type: Per Diem, 1099.
Pay Rate: $180/hr for onsite patient care, $140/hr for telemedicine lab review.
Schedule:
5/5 5 am-3:30 pm (onsite).
5/6 2 pm-11:30 pm (onsite).
5/7 9:30 pm - overnight 5/8 7am (onsite).

Full Description:

VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a  Physician  to provide onsite wellness checkups and participate via telemedicine in a multi-week treatment and coaching program for Chronic Metabolic Diseases (i.e Pre-diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Obesity) with specific exclusion of Diabetes.

The Physician will also work directly in guiding patients through a structured multi-week program designed to improve their wellness and lifestyle.

We handle all patient appointments and administrative work, allowing you to focus entirely on one-on-one clinical patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to practice preventive and personalized medicine in a supportive, structured setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general wellness checkups.
• Consult with patients to understand their health concerns.
• Advise/refer patients for follow-up care.
• Provide telemedicine services for lab review follow-ups.
• Provide chronic disease management to patients based on our program guideline.
• Educate patients around healthy eating and lifestyle.
• Prescribing chronic disease management medications.

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree.
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience following post graduate training.
• Current license to practice in the state of AL.
• Must hold active BLS/ ACLS certification. 
• Board certification in specialty.
• Background in family practice, internal medicine and preventive care preferred.
• Background in urgent care or emergency care will be considered.
• Patient education driven.
  
• Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Must have own laptop/tablet.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Pell City, AL
