Field Engineer – Cartersville, GA

A growing mid-tier contractor specializing in water infrastructure projects, committed to delivering high-quality construction services for public and municipal clients. With a strong focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure, the company is expanding its presence in key markets. They emphasize safety, innovation, and collaboration, providing employees with opportunities to work on impactful projects while growing their careers.

Projects: Three projects totaling approximately $25M

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Construction Management degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction projects of similar size/scope
  • Experience in industrial/municipal projects over $10 million required (commercial-type construction experience will not be considered)
  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 certification will be required before starting)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Project

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal onboarding and safety inductions
  • Ensure daily toolbox talks and compliance with safety protocols
  • Enforce all safety rules within the team
  • Track field productivity and costs, comparing them to the budget
  • Perform field layout and support Foremen and Project Superintendent
  • Conduct QA/QC on work performed by field crews
  • Develop work packages, including sequences, materials, equipment, and associated budgets
  • Develop RFIs for inconsistencies in plans/specifications or unforeseen conditions
  • Procure materials and tools as needed
  • Assist Project Superintendent with office-related tasks
  • Manage and schedule subcontractors
  • Assist Project Manager with schedule updates and cost reporting
  • Develop project submittals (product data, quality control plans, shop drawings, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with software such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Viewpoint Vista
