As a Financial Analyst II - Commercial Finance, you'll play a crucial role in premium reconciliation, payment monitoring, vendor coordination, and financial analysis related to commercial healthcare products. This position requires experience working with SQL queries, premium invoicing, and financial reporting.
What You'll Do
Monitor and respond to inquiries regarding premium invoicing and payments.
Analyze over- or under-premium payments and present findings to leadership.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to member premium payments.
Develop and run SQL queries to reconcile various revenue streams, including member payments and state subsidies.
Process payment disputes and ensure funds are accurately applied to accounts.
Collaborate with print vendors to create or update premium billing notices.
Work with external vendors to support programming modifications and business needs.
Review and process refund requests for overpayments.
Verify broker commission payments to ensure accuracy.
Assist with month-end reports and journal entries for financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines related to premium billing and revenue reconciliation.
Act as a trusted resource within the organization, demonstrating professionalism and collaboration.
Contribute to process improvement by incorporating LEAN principles into daily work.
What We're Looking For
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in premium billing, membership reconciliation, or financial reporting. Experience working with finance teams on monthly reporting. Managed care experience related to commercial products is required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL query development and data analysis skills.
Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
