Position Title: Firefighter EMT or CEP
Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) and Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District (CCFMD) are accepting applications for the position of Firefighter / EMT or Paramedic. VVFD and CCFMD are looking to establish a Firefighter hiring list of individuals who are interested in joining our growing organizations. The agencies share a Fire Chief who may use the established list to fill current and future vacancies at either District.
Candidates are required to complete the following by Monday, February 10, 2025 to be considered for the role:
NTN's FireTEAM Exam
CPAT
Upload copies of required certifications / documentation
Selected candidates will be contacted by Thursday, February 13, 2025 to submit a completed application packet. Candidates with verified credentials will be scheduled for an oral board interview to be held the week of February 17, 2025. Final candidates will be invited for a Chiefs interview.
Salary Information: $16.00 - $20.26 base hourly rate, approximately $44,840 - $60,577 annually. Additional $2.25 / hour for Paramedic certification.

Area Information: VVFD covers the unincorporated areas around the City of Cottonwood as well as the communities of Cornville, Page Springs, and the Town of Clarkdale. CCFMD covers the communities of Camp Verde, McGuireville, Rimrock, and Lake Montezuma.

Firefighter I & II, NFPA 1001 equivalent, or IFSAC Certification *See Note

Current BLS CPR certification

Completion of NIMS 100 and 700
*Note: Required prior to full-time job offer. Must be currently enrolled in a program and able to provide a copy of your registration or a letter from your instructor.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check, psychological evaluation, physical examination, and other pre-employment screening.

Preference Points:
Any veteran of the armed forces of the United States separated from the armed forces under honorable conditions following more than six (6) months of active duty shall, in the final determination of scoring, be given a veteran preference of five (5) points over persons other than veterans.
