Job Title: Freight Broker
Responsibilities - Build and manage a network of carriers.
- Effectively communicate with carriers via phone calls, emails, and portals.
- Manage load postings on multiple outlets as assigned by the Regional Manager.
- Negotiate transportation rates effectively.
- Maintain a consistent number of bookings as determined by the Regional Manager.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in Excel for data entry.
- Experience with Outlook.
- Knowledge in logistics and administrative support.
- Experience in customer support, tracking, negotiating, email correspondence, and data entry.
- Experience in booking freight, dispatching, scheduling, and coordinating.
- Familiarity with freight, intermodal, dispatching, and logistic operations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team through stressful situations.
- Mediation and crisis resolution skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - 1+ year of logistics knowledge
- Comfortable with phone communication
- Experience in building strong relationships
- Quality control of booked freight and responsible communication
Work Environment
The work environment is laid back with a casual dress code. The office operates from 8 AM to 5 PM and features an open floor plan with multiple teams and a team lead who all sit together. The atmosphere is fun and family-oriented with TVs on the floor. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00
