$30.85 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Position Summary

This Joint Use Administrator assist the Joint Use Department with day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for the coordination of efforts between the Cooperative’s Joint Use Department, contractors and consultants as they relate to joint use facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  •  
  • Facilitate development of construction standards and guidelines related to joint use facilities
  • Assist the Engineering department in the development of maintenance and construction procedures
  • Work with communication companies on applications of new pole contacts
  • Process joint use permits and inspect new attachments for compliance with District standards
  • Prepare Work Orders for replacement of facilities found by the pole inspection contractor
  • Review and make recommendations for updates to the Districts Joint-Use Contracts
  • Facilitate developing procedures and analysis methods including computer programs
  • Work with customers to resolve problems associated with joint use facilities
  • Assist other engineering personnel in the establishment, maintenance and use of the engineering records of the District
  • Prepare cost estimates and other information or support as may be necessary to apply or recommend changes in District policy
  • Performs tasks as assigned by the Joint Use Manager to help the Cooperative meet goals and expectations
  • Coordinate and monitor projects, working directly with other Cooperative departments/districts, attaching entities, and construction contractors
  • Provide general administrative support to the engineering and operations staff as requested by the supervisor
  • Update electronic workflow tracking and other tracking documents

  • Request, collect, and file (paper and/or electronic) documents such as easements, permits, inspections, applications, etc.
  • Utilize data and tracking to provide reports as management and other departments request
  • Maintain the security of confidential information
  • Stay abreast of advances in technology
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • ​​​​​​ Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the National Electric Safety Code requirements relevant to distribution design issues
  • Knowledge of mathematics
  • Knowledge of the cooperatives distribution design and construction practices
  • Knowledge of utility service guidelines and policies
  • Knowledge of power system components, functions, ratings and limitations
  • Knowledge of roadway, security and other lighting design practices
  • Knowledge of specification book and the cooperative’s line extension policy
  • Knowledge of PEC Safety Manual
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems
  • Ability to collaborate across departments including peers, customers, contractors, and agency personnel
  • Ability to exercise efficient time management, self-motivation, initiative, resourcefulness, and organization
  • Ability to make sound judgement when faced with problems and addressing situations

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

  • Associate’s Degree in a field related to electric utility distribution and power design OR
  • HS Diploma or equivalent AND
  • Five years of directly related work experience
  • Advanced technical coursework in electrical distribution systems preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
