Hybrid/Remote Junior Graphic Designer

About the Role
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you'll play an integral role in supporting our Marketing team by designing high-quality graphics and animations. You'll have the chance to bring concepts to life across multiple platforms while also learning about video production and the art of graphic design for broadcast media.
Key Responsibilities
Design Graphics for Multiple Platforms: Create logos, animations, full graphics packages (including lower thirds, backgrounds, full-page designs, and opening sequences) for television programs, along with assets for web and social media promotions.
Collaborate on Creative Projects: Partner with the Marketing team to brainstorm and execute designs that align with our brand and mission.
Expand Your Skills: Learn the ins and outs of video production and develop expertise in broadcast graphic design.
What You Bring to the Team
Required Skills and Experience
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong design and layout skills with experience creating content for both print and digital platforms.
Thorough understanding of resolutions, formats, and pre-print processes.
Ability to create graphics optimized for social media platforms with an understanding of platform-specific requirements.
Skills in animation using After Effects.
Familiarity with Dreamweaver and basic knowledge of video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
Exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure.

Preferred Skills and Experience
Background in Marketing Graphic Design.
Experience with 3D design tools.
Knowledge of the Bronx or ties to the local community.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English.
Work Schedule and Compensation
Part-Time Role: 20-24 hours per week.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour.
