Job Description

Experience shaping the lives of young children by joining our unique team of staff and educators! In our Preschool Program you will work with children ages 4y-5y. Through interactive lesson plans you will foster children's sense of self, guide them in maintaining relationships with peers, and work to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

Your Role/Responsibilities

• Instructing developmentally appropriate group and one-on-one classroom activities
• Develop weekly lesson plans that meet developmental indicators of progress for PreK students
• Create a fun and safe classroom environment
• Observe and track students' developmental progress
• Help children improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• Be patient and kind to children
• Other duties as assigned

Your Skills/Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• 2+ years of previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• High School Diploma or GED
• CDA Certified or Associates/Bachelors in Early Childhood Education or related fields or qualified training hours to meet MN Rule 3 guidelines
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and PreK educational methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Reliable
