PARK MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT/ SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT/ PAJARO COAST SECTOR / WILDER RANCH STATE PARK
The Park Maintenance Assistant is assigned to Wilder Ranch State Park in Santa Cruz, CA, and may be required to assist with the entire facility maintenance program for the Pajaro Coast Sector and/or the Santa Cruz District. This position will work under supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.
The PMA will perform skilled and semi-skilled structural and facility maintenance and repair work throughout the Sector on a wide variety of park facilities, including buildings, systems, grounds, roads and trails. The incumbent estimates and purchases materials and supplies; keeps tools and equipment in good condition; keeps records and prepares reports as required. The incumbent may lead and train a crew of maintenance employees.The work shift is Thursday through Monday 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping and lifting. May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. May work in remote locations.
