VAA Minneapolis, MN, USA Sr. Process Engineer - Ethanol (Hybrid/Remote) In a world of "supply chain disruptions," be part of the solution. This position is a specialist in Ethanol facility and process design and optimization. The candidate should understand project execution and plant operations and will act as a subject-matter expert for our clients Ethanol facility upgrades and our internal design teams. Your role: * Serve as the engineering consultant and client's primary point of contact for their facility design and process improvement needs. * Prepare technical reports, procurement specifications, and design sketches. * Work closely with equipment vendors to develop their technical proposals, and provide vendor selection recommendations to the client. * Research, understand and convey client needs to meet client's expectations for process optimization and upgrades. * Perform process upgrade feasibility studies. * Facilitate internal and external coordination meetings (clients, equipment suppliers) as required. * Communicate with clients, equipment vendors, controls integrators, and other stakeholders regarding the process equipment design, installation, and operation. Closely manage budget assigned to them; identify and prepare requests for additional services. * Closely manage work schedule assigned to them; proactively communicate any potential delays to VAA Project Manager. * Keep VAA Project Manager and Principal-In-Charge informed of work progress, challenges, and successes. * Mentor and train VAA junior engineers and technical staff as requested. * Demonstrate leadership with excellent engineering analysis and judgment providing appropriate results and responsiveness to clients. * Support business development efforts as needed. Your resume must include: * BS in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology. * Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and construction of ethanol facilities and processes. * Experience with ethanol process equipment and operations required. Starting Annual Salary Range: $100,000 - $175,000. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
