This Staff Nurse II position supports our outpatient, pediatric multi-specialty clinics. Provides specialized patient care and education for patients receiving treatments, examinations, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures.


This is a weekday, daytime position.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family (biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental); collects and analyzes data from the medical record to coordinate patient care.
  • Directs and/or provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures, and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice.
  • Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/family regarding disease process and symptom management.
  • Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information.
  • Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates cost-effective work habits by setting priorities and properly managing supplies and equipment.
  • Assists the health care provider with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure appropriate clinical outcome.
  • Professional contributions, including presentations, preceptorships/mentorships, committee participation, community service, inclusion on research or professional publications or local, regional, or national professional organization leadership roles.
  • Other duties as outlined in specialty-specific job responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Completion of National Specialty Certification relevant to the area where working, if applicable.
  • Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
  • Advanced clinical skills (e.g., PALS, ACLS, IV Certification, Bone Marrow Biopsy).

Salary Range

$60,800.00 - $105,700.00 / Annually
