Position Summary

The Supervisor of Security Systems will lead a team in maintaining and enhancing our global security infrastructure. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical expertise in access control, CCTV, security systems, project management, and team leadership.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of security systems professionals and embedded technicians supporting operations across global sites. Take the lead on creating a robust training plan for team members, ensuring they stay current with new technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices. Set clear performance and goals expectations.
  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all physical security technologies including CCTV, access control systems, visitor management platforms, and biometric readers. Ensure redundancy protocols are in place for critical security infrastructure, including power backup, data redundancy, and failover procedures for core systems.
  • Manage triage, assignments, and resolution of a high volume of service tickets and system support requests. Oversee periodic audits of security systems to ensure they are in full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
  • Assist in developing and managing the security systems department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial targets.
  • Direct and support security technology projects including terminal openings, system upgrades, and infrastructure expansions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners to ensure alignment on project goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance and contracts related to security systems, including those with multimillion-dollar values.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive operational efficiency and consistency. Utilize data and reporting tools to make informed decisions that impact security operations and improve overall team effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Security regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Security related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • Three (3) years of previous security related work in the law enforcement, intelligence, regulatory or private/corporate security sector
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail and organization
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Available for overnight travel (50%)
  • In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualification

  • Five (5) years of previous security related work, intelligence, regulatory or private/corporate security sector
  • Three (3) years in a past leadership/supervisory role
  • Previous experience mentoring subordinates
  • Experience with CCTV and access control systems, assigning user accounts/groups and modifying access levels
  • Exceptional decision-making skills in high-pressure situations, especially when dealing with security incidents or system failures that impact operations
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 bookings to maintain appointment base system
  • Experience with overseeing scheduling of crewmembers paid time off (PTO), evaluations, and goals
  • Prior law enforcement or corporate security experience

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
