DESCRIPTION

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Annapolis Junction, MD, USA | Arlington, VA, USA | Herndon, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

The Threat Intelligence for Global Enterprise Response (TIGER) team, part of Amazon Cyber Threat Intelligence (ACTI), is responsible for developing actionable intelligence on advanced cyber threats to Amazon employees and company assets. Our intelligence supports incident response teams, red teams, detections teams, and teams working to prevent financial loss to the company and helps to proactively identify and mitigate malicious activity.

We are looking for an experienced security leader who has hands-on cyber threat intelligence experience to join ACTI. As the manager of TIGER, you will lead TIGER’s critical mission deriving intelligence insights from incident response activities and driving the creation of impactful detections and mitigations.

We're looking for a leader that's highly passionate about threat intelligence and incident response and about building a high performing security team. Ideally you have a track record of building and growing cyber threat intelligence teams in a fast-paced environment where dealing with ambiguity and making sound judgments is key. You should know how to prioritize, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive outcomes and excellence with a strong team.

A Security Engineering Manager must foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views. Leaders in this role are expected to participate fully in the planning of their team's work and constantly seek opportunities for process improvement and personnel development. A successful candidate will need a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include automation, project management, and security engineering work. This role will provide career growth opportunities as you gain new security skills in the course of your duties, particularly in the constantly evolving field of cyber threat intelligence.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

- Lead the strategic direction and evolution of TIGER, including setting goals and establishing priorities
- Drive strategic initiatives by influencing leadership and key stakeholders, and partnering with teams throughout Amazon

- Maintain hands-on technical proficiency while leading the team, actively participating in threat analysis and intelligence production when needed
- Lead improvements to internal programs and processes
- Write and deliver high-quality documents for technical and non-technical audiences
